With that said, it is important to consider the relationship the stems or other anchor material will have to the overall composition. For dramatic impact, add some curly willow tips down into the vase before the floral and foliage components are added. Another idea is to secure decorative grasses such as bear grass or steel grass to act as a stabilizer for your stem placement.
